I was just thinking of something. As a way to simplify the admin's job whenever a post is approved on the forums, why not add a feature that automatically PM's the user, and/or sends them an email, every time one of their trapped messages gets approved? I already do that by hand for most users, and I think it'd be a good thing to add as a courtesy feature. Sure, we'd need to be able to turn that off for those who don't want to do that, but for those of us who do, I think it'd be a great addition. Smile

The text of the PM/Email could be something as simple as this:

Your original message on {date} was flagged by our spam protection system and held for review. The Administrator(s) of this site have chosen to approve your post, and it is now available. {link to post}

A little extra such as a message about the bypass words group could be added to the post as well. This may require adding an "approve/deny" feature to the existing mod, instead of just an approve or delete entry such as exists now. Also, maybe an additional point and click option for "add to bypass words group on approval" could be added. This can either be a checkbox, or a link if you want to add a separate step for it. Although just a checkbox to go with the "approve" button would be plenty.

Anywho, that's my idea. Use or abuse at your discretion. Very Happy

well this can be done Smile

I like the idea. Right now the user is subscribed to his topic so he will recieve a reply from the board if there is a reply to his topic.

I intend to rewrite the way the check is done and present the user with some agreement form after the spamtrap >
* user awareness
* more cerntancy in backend the post was not done by a robot because user can click on an image ( or something )

Ah, that sounds cool. So in other words, you're adding more of a human factor to it. Sweet. Very Happy

On a side note, any word on a phpbb3 version of this mod?
